Experience has been a great teacher for Shawn who has worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for over 15 years. Exposure to the industry in various working environments opened his eyes to the need for employers to ensure safe worksites and focus on the safety of all workers. Commitment to safety is necessary since it contributes to the overall development and productivity of the workforce which drives results. This is the vision he had while co-founding Insight Occupational Testing to support their clients to improve their workers’ safety in the workplace. 

Through great listening and discerning skills, and by encouraging two-way communication with workers, Shawn is determined to learn how to elevate safety programs to be more effective and cost-efficient. Having worked in several capacities including shop manager, rig service hand, and HSE Advisor, Shawn leverages extensive insights that enable him to just as easily connect and relate to employees as they interact with employers. As an experienced safety professional, he can see and understand the grey areas on a worksite and tailor each safety program to suit unique needs.

• Internal Auditor with Energy Safety Canada
• Incident Investigation from Energy Safety Canada
