Safety Inspections

Every month emergency equipment must be checked as well as operational equipment to ensure it is safe for work following the manufacturers instructions. These inspections must be documented to make sure nothing is missed and to track any corrective actions or prove due diligence (if required).

To complete safety inspections properly, a person must be trained on the equipment being inspected. Emergency equipment inspections are also a great time to look for potential hazards in the workplace as well. Our HSE Advisor can complete these tasks for you to not only save you time, but also to add fresh eyes to the area helping identify hazards and keep your workers safe.

Emergency equipment inspections include:

  • Fire Extinguishers
  • First Aid Kits
  • AED
  • Eye Wash Stations
  • Emergency Exit Lights

During emergency equipment inspections Insight can also review the following at the same time:

  • Forklift, Loader, and other PME pre-use inspections
  • Overhead crane pre-use inspections
  • Slings
  • Shop Hazards

3rd Party Compliance Monitoring

Lots of companies utilize 3rd Parties to review and ensure their contractor’s safety programs are up to date and comply, not only with legislation but are also aligned with their own safety goals.  These companies are what we call 3rd Party Compliance Monitoring sites.  They use online technologies to ensure your safety program is up to date and in compliance with legislation and their customers programs.

Additionally, many customer specific orientations are also conducted on these sites. Annually the codes change as orientations are updated. We will ensure you always have the up to date codes, so your workers are compliant with customer training.

Initial setup can be a long process as all your policies, safe work practices, and other areas of your health and safety program need to be uploaded individually.  Also, there will be questions asked from your customers to ensure your safety goals are aligned on the same path.

In addition to the safety program monitoring, companies will also use these programs to deliver important information, training, and updates.  These services typically require weekly maintenance, as well as quarterly updates (depending on the requests) to maintain compliance and stay in the “green” for your customers.

Common 3rd Party Compliance companies are ISNetworld, ComplyWorks and Avetta.  There are others out there and Insight can help you with all of them.  Whether you just need an assist setting up or require regular maintenance we are here to support you.

Insight Testing will make sure you stay in compliance with your customers, distribute any information to you that is required, and supply you with any relevant training codes you may need.
